1950's cartoon character comic books had dozens of "treasure hunt" stories. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and especially Uncle Scrooge McDuck in the Disney comics were placed in this theme often. Looney Tunes comics had them, too...and while you wouldn't think sticking Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig in such a plot would work, it actually does. It's also boosted by some great artwork. While uncredited, it uses cartoon director Robert McKimson's designs, and the artist had to have been either an animator in his unit, one of his brothers, Charles or Tom, or Robert McKimson himself.
Here's the story, from Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies # 103 (Dell) May 1950.:
Art by Tom McKimson.
