"Looney Tunes" (DC) 3 103, August 2003: "What's Shakin' Bacon?"
Here's a great Daffy Duck story from 2003 in which Daffy tries to sell Acme gadgets to the 3 Little Pigs. Written by Barry Liebmann, art by David Alvarez and Mike DeCarlo.
Man, I love this one. It's legitimately funny, and as 4t4 pointed out it's nice to see Daffy allowed to be something other than "grumpy, greedy jerk who exists to make Bugs look cool" as he's usually portrayed in 2000s Looney Tunes-related things. This would've made a great short.
Nice! It's always great when they don't make Daffy greedy or angry all the time. Awesome averyesque takes too
ReplyDeleteOkay, that's hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI used to read these DC Looney Tunes comics. I'm surprised they're still around.
