"Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies" #121 (Dell, November 1951): "Egg Thief"

In this story from "Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies" #121 (Dell, November 1951), Porky Pig and his nephew, Cicero, are walking through the park and discover that someone has been stealing eggs from a group of nesting chickens and replacing them with duck, owl and turtle eggs. After asking Beaky Buzzard and his son, Bernard, about the problem, they discover that the culprit is Daffy Duck, who wants the chicken eggs to hard-boil and sell.

This story has some excellent artwork, by an (as usual) uncredited artist who had clearly animated Daffy Duck in the cartoons.

  1. This is drawn by the brilliant animator John Carey, who would have left the Warner studio by the time this was published in 1951.
